Our work has continued to develop since the new CUBE Youth Centre opened in May 2014.
As well as the Friday night drop in sessions, we have been offering Wednesday night drop in sessions for years 7 and 8, a counselling service, 1 to 1 mentoring and work with Schools. With much more to come!
We have worked with local business Hothorpe Hall, we established an enterprise offering supportive paid employment to young people doing gardening and landscaping work. For some young people, the skills they learnt led to employment in this field. For others, the simple experience of working and being paid will prove life changing. Our vision continues to challenge us to expand our work and range of support we offer for local young people.
At the heart of all our work though is our commitment to the young people of Market Harborough, to help them to thrive and to provide a safe place and relationships with peers and adults who are trustworthy with a focus on the young persons needs. This will mean that the young people will develop the skills to make their own decisions, to negotiate conflict, maintain and grow healthy relationships, be open minded and respectful of others and in doing so to help to create a just and fair society.
